Restaurant 55: Reviews & Ratings
First time visiting this restaurant. We were given a gift card to have dinner here. The place was very crowded, which is normally a good thing. The server was good and the food was good. We each had a different item from the menu, ranging from the Sage Burger to the Teriyaki Chicken. The burgers were very good and they have a good variety of classic burgers and custom burgers. The prices are pretty decent for this type of restaurant. The portions are bratty good as well. The restaurant area is on the small side and tight and they have a small bar area. Highly recommend checking it out but if you don’t like close and tight spaces be prepared.
Best hand pattied burger this side of the Mississippi River! I had the Fig It Out Burger! Mrs Jill was an excellent server as well! I am glad I stumbled across this restaurant that is not a fast food joint nor a franchise! Support the locals! They also have a reward program. I've never seen that many burger options! Hard choices!!!
I ordered Fried Pickle Spears appetizer, Chicken Teriyaki, Fried Shrimp, Fish & Chips (substituted mashed potatoes instead of fries) meals and Farmhouse Cupcake. Everything was pretty good. Highly recommend!!
Food was very good, service was attentive, it was very loud so hard to hold a conversation but impossible. One of the best burgers I've had in quite sone time.
In short: Yummy fries, lots of options to customize your burger, mozzarella sticks were fire…it was great! Would return. In long: We were a party of 4 that arrived 45 minutes before close so knew that we’d likely encounter some hiccups. Zay was our server and got us our drinks and mozzarella sticks quickly! The sticks were realllly good, crunchy breading with a heavy cheese pull; no question that they’re made in house! Would definitely recommend! Our food took a while and the fries were cold upon the arrival of our plates, but Zay was quick to request new fries for the table and the next batch was piping hot! The fam got chicken tenders, wings, turkey jerk burger, and bacon smash burger - all were impressed! However, one noted that the turkey burger seemed more pink than they’re used to. I built my own patty melt and it was really good! The beef was tender without any weird fatty or gristle parts, which is great. I think the meat could have used some seasoning, but that’s nothing a little table salt couldn’t fix. The Jalapeño Jack Cheese didn’t have the kick I was anticipating, but was still complimentary to the sandwich. Sautéed onions and mushrooms had good flavor. Loved the grilled rye, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, and fresh cut fries. Would return! (Just earlier in the day of course lol)
Came in for a quick, delicious, and affordable lunch. Mary, my server, was kind and knowledgeable. Music was great- They delivered 100%. Turkey burger was so good- this is a throw away item on most menus, but they get turkey from a local purveyor, and you can really taste the difference… and the house cut fries were delightful. I can’t wait to come in for dinner!
We arrived around 6:45 on a Friday night and were able to sit right down. Or server was really friendly, genuine and efficient. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a key lime martini, which came out to the table within a few minutes. We them ordered the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer and kids chicken tenders and fries for our 2 year old. And then after finally making up our minds, we ordered our food. We all got burgers. My husband ordered the Desiree burger that had 6 huge pieces of bacon on it. My 11 year old ordered the Chipwich burger that had lettuce, tomato and a spicy mustard aioli and a few huge homemade potato chips. I ordered the Fig It Out burger that had fig jam, caramelized onions, goat cheese, bacon and arugula on it. We all enjoyed our burgers very much and they came with delicious house made fries. This was our first time here and I'm not sure why we've never been. We will definitely be returning to try one if their other original burgers.
Excellent burgers, and the fried pickle Spears were delicious as well. Service was very good for what little bit I needed of it, and the place looks nice. There's a free parking lot which is always good. I will say that the burgers were cooked to the perfect temperature requested. There are other burgers that I want to try there and based on these, I'm looking forward to it.
